Beyond Conventional Medicine: Homeopathy as a Complementary Therapy for Animals

Like a sturdy fence protecting a garden, conventional medicine safeguards animal health with a powerful arsenal. From precise diagnostics to life-saving surgeries, it tackles ailments head-on, offering immediate relief and long-term solutions. However, this fortress has its chinks. Costly treatments and potent medications can be double-edged swords, while a focus on symptom relief sometimes overlooks deeper imbalances. Thankfully, therapies like homeopathy, with their gentle approach and emphasis on root causes, offer a complementary hand, working alongside conventional medicine to cultivate a more holistic and sustainable garden of animal well-being. Holistic approach of HOMEOPATHY: Beyond the familiar tools of conventional medicine lies a different path, one paved not with pills and procedures, but with gentle nudges to the body's own healing wisdom. This is the realm of homeopathy, a complementary therapy that whispers rather than shouts, viewing illness not as...

Phenotypic characteristics of a good milking buffalo

Traumatic Reticulopericarditis

Traumatic Reticulopericarditis (TRP) also known as Hardware Disease is common in ruminants. The word Hardware in this context refers to foreign materials such as nail, wire, steel, iron slits etc which accidentally engulfs by the animals (Ruminants are not able to discriminate the food material with foreign materials). Pathogenesis:  When a foreign material for example a nail is engulfed by a ruminant it goes to rumen (the first compartment of compound stomach), where it resides for some time after some time when animal starts regurgitation (جگالی) the nail goes to reticulum (second compartment of compound stomach) and pierces reticular wall causes reticulitis there and enters the pericardium, the sac around the heart (Heart is placed just next to the reticulum) and causes inflammation of pericardium which is called as pericarditis.  Clinical manifestations:  Brisket Edema, Engorged Jugular Vein, Pain on walking, Arched back, Fever, Anorexia, Depression and in severe causes ...

Estrus detection in farm animals with the help of estrus gun / Intravaginal probe

Estrus Detector is a device used to check the estrus in cows, buffalos, mares, sheep and in swines. This device mainly consists of a display screen, gun, probe (consists of electrodes) and a switch. How it works? This device works on the principle of electrical impedance (resistance). On pressing the switch current flows which detects the impedance of cervical mucous and shows the reading between 0-900 ohms.  physiology in follicular and luteal phase : Animal in dominant follicular phase => high estradiol => cervical mucous becomes plentiful, watery  (low electrical resistance and high conductivity) , and less viscous which facilitates good current flow => reading 200 or <200 ohms.  Animal in luteal phase => CL dominance => high progesterone => cervical mucous becomes thick, opaque, viscous and scanty ( high electrical resistance and low conductivity) => poor current flow => reading >400 ohms.  Procedure: First of all clean the perineum...
